Fix Error When Install NetFx 3.5 on Win 8/8.1/10 (0x800F081F and 0x800F0906)

There are 3 Ways frequent users of Windows 8 / 8.1 install Netfx3.5:

• Online
• Offline via file repack
• Offline via DVD Installer

Fix Error When Install NetFx 3.5

This is caused by the failed install KB2966826, KB2966827 and KB2966828.

Solution 1:
a. Open Control Panel Programs and Features >>>> >>>> View Installed Updates
b. Find the following KB Update and unistall 1 by 1 if there is:

• KB2966826
• KB2966827
• KB2966828

  

  Uninstall KB Update

c. Restart computer
d. Try reinstalling Netfx 3.5 using any one of three ways above.

Solution 2:
The above solution for most users not Work, then use this method to 2. This method is not affected by the presence of three updates on top.
a. Open RUN (Windows + R), type gpedit.msc
b. Go to Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> System
c. In right column, double-click the "Specify settings for the optional component installation and component repair"

d. By default setting "Not Configured". Double click and set to "Enabled" and do not forget to check (enable) the option "Windows Update Contact Directly to download repair content instead of Windows Server Update Services (WSUS)".

e. Restart computer.
f. Try reinstalling Netfx 3.5 using any one of three ways above.
